La maison de Coco Chanel

I have been watching a lot of French films lately to practice my French pronunciation.

A couple of weeks ago I watched Coco Chanel & Igor Stravinsky.  The clothing, the accessories, the decor – oh la la!

The home of Coco Chanel was all black and white glamour.

Doesn’t the wallpaper in that first image look just like Ferm Living’s 'Squares' design in black and bronze?

In awe of Atelier Versace

My posts have been very light on lately as I am extremely busy with the approach of the end of Bank year.

I just dropped by to share these amazing gowns by Atelier Versace.  I am completely in awe!

P.S.  My Kate Spade handbags arrived today.  I couldn't be happier with the HopShopGo service... they repacked my bags to reduce the shipping volume and the first 2kg was free.

Shopping at Kate Spade

I desperately need a new black handbag.  It is a wardrobe essential, particularly as I wear a lot of black to the office.  My last one fell apart about five months ago and I haven’t got around to buying a new one... until now.

I have ordered the Uxbridge Stevie in black patent leather from Kate Spade.

This bag appeals to me because it has a simple elegant design, is big enough to fit all my stuff, it’s shiny and I can carry it in my hand or on my shoulder.

Kate Spade currently has a further 25% of all sale items, so I couldn’t help myself and I ended up ordering a couple more bags.

The Claverly Maryanne in red patent leather.

And the Sawgrass Benedicta in silver sequined straw with leather trim.

I used HopShopGo to have the items forwarded to Australia.  I will let you know how I rate the service once my new bags have arrived.

Learning French

I have enrolled in a French language course at Alliance Fran├žaise de Sydney.  I had my first two classes this week and so far I can pronounce the French alphabet, count from 0 to 10 and have short informal and formal greeting conversations.

I have been wanting to learn French for a long time and am excited to be finally doing it.

I can’t wait to visit Paris.  Hopefully this will be me next year.

Until then I have Paris Daily Photo.  Here are some of my favourite recent images from the site.

The first day of Spring

Today was the first day of Spring in Australia.  Yay!  I say bring on the sunshine.  I am so over Winter.

Here’s more exciting news for the day – the release of Anthropologie’s September catalogue.  These are my favourite outfits from its pages.
