A mid-century apartment in Calgary

While taking a break from planning my own home renovation yesterday, I discovered this beautiful home renovation, thanks to this post on The Diversion Project.

The apartment building in Calgary, Canada was built in the mid 1950s and this apartment was gutted and renovated in 2009 by its photographer owner, Jess Loraas.

I love so many things about this home and have catalogued at least one idea to steal: the felt covered tack board with criss-crossed black elastic in the study area.  I also love the mix of furniture, the map of Paris wallpaper and that huge ornate white mirror.
